Bill Hicks used to do a great routine about drugs and rock music. Nasically he said if you are anti-drugs then you need to take all your records and throw away the ones which were made under the influence of drugs.
ReplyDeleteThis would mean no Beatles, no Stones, no Marley, not even Elvis (addicted to prescription barbituates) or Michael Jackson (prescription painkillers). What you'd be left with is early Wham Albums, Britney Spears' debut LP, The Jonas Brothers etc. Not rock and roll at all, really. And mostly not very inspired or inspiring.
